Introduction
Cloak and Dagger is an Art collective comprised of three friends. They decided that by combining their mutual powers of creativity that they could achieve world domination and perhaps make some interesting Art in the process.
The collective was suggested in late 2008 over a few beers at a BBQ and was received by all members positively. It was decided that each member had a unique set of skills that complimented each others skills, and a range of group projects were arranged.
C&D started off small, making a few badges and some collaborative Artworks. As the year progressed each of its members were inundated with other work and Artistic collaboration sessions faded away. To counteract this negative trend it was decided that the members should convene at lunch time on the Thursday of every week for quiche and chocolate milk, these meetings were subsequently referred to as 'The Thursday special'. No artworks as such were produced but much pastry and jokes were had.
The members of C&D successfully finished the year with their own separate art exhibitions and were finally able to meet again to formulate ideas. It was decided that after the year of stops and starts that the members of C&D would get together for a few intense collaborative art sessions and produce 30 pieces of artwork and hold an online exhibition (conveniently just in time for Christmas).
This collaboration session has been successful and the exhibition will launch on the 30th of November 2009. More details to come.
